Bhí mé anseo

I use to think I was only good at sports but our project made me feel like I was good at art and now I love it too’   

‘Bhí Mé Anseo’ was a ‘Creative Schools’ Project  designed and delivered by Margaret for 6th class students in Lucan East Educate Together Margaret partnered with teachers Níall O’ Muncheáin and Tom Finnerty to deliver a large scale visual Arts project to mark their final year  in the school. Margaret brought the students on an a journey of exploration of ‘Pop Art’ they created their own ‘Andy Warhol’ style self portraits.

They visited the Rua Red gallery and took part in the  Kennard Phillips Exhibition ‘Finnegans woke’ and were given an exclusive interview with the artists.Margaret collaborated with the students to create their own James Rizzi Mural on the wall of the school leaving their creation as an artistic footprint for the class to be remembered by in years to come,
