South Dublin children’s writer Margaret Callan Bergin of Garbo Productions will create and tell the story The Extraordinary Adventures of Spike The Squirrel &  Ruby Robin for Cruinniú TV South Dublin: Create, Make, Participate.

This event is broadcasting 3 Episodes Starting on June  8th /10th at 12.00 Noon Finale June 13th

Spike the Squirrel  wishes he could fly so he could see all the amazing things his friend Ruby Robin tells him about, then one day Ruby finds a tree that is the tallest tree in all of Dublin so Spike can climb and see all over the County.  Will Spike make it to the top of the tree and will he like what he sees when he gets there?

The Extraordinary adventures of Spike The Squirrel &  Ruby Robin by Margaret Callan Bergin will explore the tale of two friends age 5 whose journey to the top of a special tree in South Dublin helps them learn how important it is to be kind to everyone.

‘The Story is  really special because it is set in Clondalkin South Dublin. I am very proud of our very pretty historic & peaceful village and the Beautiful Corkagh Park. So I thought it would be a lovely backdrop to this sweet tale.. The story is for  children 3-8 and also includes lovely animation featuring our heroes ‘Spike the Squirrel and Ruby the Robin’ and it also incorporates a cupla focail , the Irish language which is a really important aspect of Clondalkin village life too.  The story is for children everywhere and carries a very special message of kindness and Inclusion. ‘

Margaret Callan Bergin from Garbo Productions is a children’s writer, playwright, actor and educator. She has written for RTE’s children ‘Storylane’ and RTE’s ‘Morbegs’. She has written and performed her stories and plays for children for over 20 years in schools all over South Dublin.
